  • Repeal of Special (Occupational) Tax on Alcohol Occupations
    Section 11125 of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act permanently repeals, effective July 1, 2008, the special (occupational) taxes on certain businesses in the alcohol industry.  Read more.  (06/06/08)
  • TTB Ruling 2008–2, Use of Straight Run Gasoline as a Denaturing Material.  In this ruling, TTB authorizes straight run gasoline as a substitute denaturant and a material for rendering fuel alcohol unfit for beverage use. (04/09/08)
