TTB Notice No. 41 Comments

FORM LETTER 12

Dear U.S. TTB,

Today, Americans have more choices than ever when deciding what to drink, whether it's a soda, a beer, a glass of wine, or a cocktail. With so many choices, it's only logical that the bottles and cans they drink from provide consistent and accurate nutritional and serving information on their packaging.

American consumers have long relied on such information on everything from salad dressings to ice creams and it is time that Americans are provided with important serving information for alcohol beverages also.

The aim of having serving information on most consumable products is to promote an overall balanced lifestyle. Alcohol cannot be exempt as it is a normal part of many Americans'

lifestyles. With greater understanding of how the drinks they prefer can be consumed responsibly, more Americans could be able to make more informed decisions when enjoying their favorite drink.

I hope you will allow basic serving information, including serving size, servings per container, alcohol per serving, calories, fat, carbohydrates, and protein values to appear on drink bottles.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

[Brewery/Business/Association Name Here]
