- Industry Circular 2008–2, Brunello di Montalcino Wine
This circular serves as notice that beginning on June 23, 2008, importers of Brunello di Montalcino wine must have in their possession, at the time of release from customs custody, a declaration from the Government of Italy that states that the wine is entitled to bear the Brunello di Montalcino designation. - The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Will Not Release Shipments of Brunello di Montalcino Wine
TTB Industry Circular 2008-1, states that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will not release shipments of Brunello di Montalcino wine unless the importers submit to CBP a statement attesting that the wine meets certain requirements. Read more. (06/17/08)
- Repeal of Special (Occupational) Tax on Alcohol Occupations
Section 11125 of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act permanently repeals, effective July 1, 2008, the special (occupational) taxes on certain businesses in the alcohol industry. Read more. (06/06/08)
- TTB Provides Guidance on Certification Requirements for Imported Wine
Imported natural wine produced after December 31, 2004, must have the required certification. We are providing guidance and a convenient format for the certification. (05/20/08)
- Registration Open for Final 2008 COLAs Online Workshops
