Proprietors of distilled spirits plants, and others concerned:

Purpose. This circular is to advise you that Form 122, Bottler's Dump and Batch Record, has been revised as of July 1961.

Changes in the form.

(a) In item 3 the term "trade name" has been changed to "trade name(s)". The change reflects the fact that a rectified product may be produced under more than one trade name simultaneously.

(b) The heading of column (e) has been changed to read "T. P. on Form 179, Ser. No.". This change is being made because it has been found that this information is valuable in auditing bottling loss claims. Sample copies. It is expected that sample copies of revised Form 122 will be distributed to assistant regional commissioners, alcohol and tobacco tax, about August 15, 1961, and will be available to bottlers and commercial printers after that date. It is expected that the July 1961 revision of Form 122 will be placed in use no later than October 1, 1961; however, bottlers may continue to use their present stocks after that date by making appropriate modifi- cations so as to show all information required. Care should be taken, however, in ordering reprints, to be sure that future stocks conform to the current revision.

Inquiries. Inquiries regarding this circular should refer to its number and be addressed to your assistant regional commissioner, alcohol and tobacco tax.
