FORMS REVISION

Proprietors of distilled spirits plants and others concerned:

Purpose. This circular is issued to advise you that certain monthly report forms are being revised primarily to provide additional statistics for whisky by reporting separately whisky distilled at 160° proof and under and whisky distilled at over 160° proof.

Form 2730 Monthly Report of Production Operations. Form 2730 is being revised by (1) subdividing the column headed "Whisky" into two columns for reporting separately whisky distilled at "160° proof and under" and "over 160° proof;" (2) adding a new column (d), in Part III, for reporting proof gallons of whisky deposited in tanks; and (3) removing Footnote 1 from the May 1971 revision, since spirits distilled from grain at less than 190° proof may no longer be designated as "grain spirits" or "spirits grain."

Form 2731 Monthly Report of Bonded Storage Operations. Form 2731 is being revised by (1) changing columns (b) and (c) to provide for reporting whisky distilled at "160° proof and under" and "over 160° proof," and (2) removing Footnote 1 from the May 1971 revision, since spirits distilled from grain at less than 190° of proof may no longer be designated as "grain spirits" or "spirits grain."

Form 2733 Monthly Report of Bottling Premises Operations. Form 2733 is being revised in Part III by (1) changing the heading in line 1, column (a) to read "Alcohol and Spirits," and (2) subdividing line 5 into two lines for the separate reporting of whisky distilled at "160° proof and under" and "over 160° proof."
