TTB'S PERMITS ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS: A TRULY ELECTRONIC SYSTEM START TO FINISH
We have made changes to our regulations and to our Permits Online program to make applying for federal approval a completely electronic process.
We are pleased to announce that those applying for federal authorization to start a business in the alcohol, tobacco, or firearms and ammunition industries are no longer required to submit original documentation for bond forms and power of attorney forms. We will accept these forms, along with all other required documentation, through an electronic process within the Permits Online system.
Previously, applicants were required to submit paper copies of these forms, which could prolong the application approval process. With these changes, you can send bonds and Powers of Attorney forms to us electronically, eliminating the need to mail us paper forms.
We strongly encourage industry members to use all of TTB's electronic filing options. Expanding our uses of newer technologies is part of an ongoing effort to provide you with the programs and tools you need to help ensure a lawful, thriving future for our TTB-regulated industries.
PROCESSING TIMES FOR COLAS ONLINE AND FORMULAS ONLINE REGISTRATIONS
At TTB.gov, we recently added a Current Registration Processing Times chart, which allows you to track your COLAs Online and Formulas Online registration applications, and will help you estimate when your registration form is likely to be processed.
