This special edition of the TTB Newsletter announces that we have extended for an additional 90 days the comment period for our rulemaking to modernize the labeling and advertising regulations for wine, distilled spirits, and malt beverages. TTB EXTENDS THE COMMENT PERIOD FOR THE ALCOHOL BEVERAGE LABELING AND ADVERTISING REGULATIONS MODERNIZATION PROPOSED RULEOn Tuesday March 19, 2019, we published a notice in the Federal Register announcing that we are extending for an additional 90 days the comment period for the notice of proposed rulemaking published November 26, 2018, entitled Modernization of the Labeling and Advertising Regulations for Wine, Distilled Spirits, and Malt Beverages. We took this action in response to requests made by several alcohol beverage industry associations. Comments on the proposed rule are now due on or before June 26, 2019.
