IN THIS ISSUEGreetings! In this week's top news, we encourage you to sign up to use Pay.gov, and we're hiring a TTB investigator in Los Angeles. USE PAY.GOV TO FILE TAX RETURNS, PAY TTB TAXES, AND FILE OPERATIONS REPORTS ONLINEPay.gov is a program of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service, that processes payments made to the federal government. TTB taxpayers are encouraged to use Pay.gov to electronically file excise tax returns, make tax payments, and file operations reports. In order to view and submit TTB forms via Pay.gov you must first complete a TTB User Agreement, TTB F 5000.31. If you self-register directly from the Pay.gov site you will not have access to TTB forms. See Getting Started: Pay.gov Enrollment Instructions for additional information. To become a Pay.gov user, you must either have a Signing Authority (SA) or Power of Attorney (POA) on file with TTB that specifically allows you to submit federal excise tax returns and/or reports of operations for the company for which you are enrolling. We recommend that SA and POA forms be filed electronically in Permits Online by submitting an Amended Application for Entity Information. So what are you waiting for? Enroll to use Pay.gov today and forget about mailing forms and checks the old-fashioned way.
