Greetings! This week’s top news includes tips about how to avoid having your beer labels returned for correction due to errors in the net content statements, and an invitation to review our current strategic plans to see what our priorities are.

WHEN DISASTER STRIKES

If your business has been impacted by a natural disaster, you may be eligible for a waiver of late filing, payment, or deposit penalties. You may also qualify for a refund of alcohol or tobacco excise tax on damaged product.

COMMON ERRORS ON BEER/MALT BEVERAGE LABELS – NET CONTENTS STATEMENT

One of the most common problems we see on beer/malt beverage labels that causes us to have to send those COLA applications back for correction is that the net contents are stated incorrectly on the label.

Here’s a chart to help you know how the mandatory net contents statement has to appear:
