TTB Newsletter for April 3, 2020 |
|||
Greetings! This week’s news announces improvements to COLAs Online, and a notice about the unavailability of our online systems overnight April 9 while we perform maintenance. LATEST IMPROVEMENTS TO COLAS ONLINEWe continually search for ways to improve the user’s experience when submitting alcohol beverage labels to TTB via COLAs Online. The latest updates, which were released earlier this week, include: “Contact Us” link. We’ve made it easier to communicate with us when you have labeling or COLAs Online questions. You now have the ability to send an email to the Alcohol Labeling and Formulation Division while you are logged in to COLAs Online. Look for the “Contact Us” link in the upper right-hand corner. New field for translations of foreign text. We’ve added a new field to step 3 of the application where applicants with foreign language text on their label must enter the English translation. Failure to provide translations of foreign text is one of the top reasons we have to send applications back for correction, and this new field will make it obvious when and where to provide translations. Increased file size for uploads. Previously we limited file sizes to 750 KB, but now you may upload label images and other files that are up to 1.5 MB. PNG files now allowed. In addition to JPG files, you may now upload PNG files in COLAs Online. We hope these improvements make using COLAs Online easier for everyone, as well as help you submit applications that can be quickly approved. If you are interested in learning more about these updates, you may view the release notes. UPCOMING SYSTEM OUTAGEThe following systems will be unavailable from 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 9 until 6 a.m. ET on Friday, April 10 while we perform system maintenance:
