IN THIS ISSUE Greetings! This week we’re announcing an upcoming TTB webinar on export certificates, an offer in compromise we accepted from a California brewery, a vacancy announcement for a management position in our Office of Analytics, as well as providing an update on recently announced COLAs Online upgrades. FREE TTB WEBINAR: EXPORT CERTIFICATESDate: Wednesday, March 24, 2021 Time: 1 p.m. ET In order for U.S. alcohol beverages to enter some foreign markets, the foreign government requires that an export certificate or other U.S. government-issued document accompany the shipment. We assist industry members seeking to export their products to those countries by providing these documents. If you are new to export certificates or just need a refresher, here are some of the topics we’ll cover in this one-hour webinar:

OFFER IN COMPROMISE ACCEPTED FROM CA BREWERYWe accepted an approximately $1.8 million offer in compromise from Stone Brewing Co., LLC to resolve allegations that the brewery underpaid excise taxes due to misapplication of reduced tax rates and failed to timely file excise tax returns and related operational reports. For additional details, see Stone Brewing Co., LLC, Escondido, CA. TTB CAREER OPPORTUNITYDo you have a good head for numbers? Do you have experience working with data? We are looking to fill our Assistant Director, Data Governance position, who will lead TTB’s data integration and data governance efforts to ensure we have high quality data to facilitate program analysis and evaluation. A few weeks ago we announced COLAs Online upgrades that we expected to launch in early March regarding trade names and a pop-up window in step 3. While those changes were available for a very short period of time, we decided that we need more time to perfect them, and we rolled those features back. We’ll announce in this newsletter when we are ready to launch them again. We apologize for any confusion this has caused. CORRECTIONLast week’s newsletter article regarding new grape variety names contained a typo. The correct name of the grape variety is Verdicchio.
