Greetings! This week we’re highlighting two leadership rotational assignments, an offer in compromise recently accepted from a California firm, how to sign up for email reminders of tax and reporting due dates, and a TTB job opening for a program analyst.

TTB LEADERSHIP ROTATIONAL ASSIGNMENTS

As we’ve done in recent years, we continue to make rotational assignments to help ensure that our programs reflect diverse perspectives and fresh ideas.  Rotational assignments also improve our ability to develop a flexible and well-rounded leadership team that is inclusive of broad perspectives and experience.

Gail Davis, Deputy Assistant Administrator, Headquarters Operations, will be serving on a detail to the Office of the Administrator beginning May 17, 2021.  Ms. Davis will be piloting the role of Director of Workforce Engagement and Front Office Operations

With Ms. Davis moving to the front office, Amy Greenberg, Director of the Regulations and Rulings Division (RRD), will be serving as the acting Deputy Assistant Administrator for Headquarters Operations. Ms. Greenberg will also continue in her role as RRD Director.

TTB ACCEPTS $28M OFFER IN COMPROMISE

We recently accepted an offer in compromise in the amount of $28,578,944.69 from Levecke Corporation, Mira Loma, California, to settle a number of violations of the Internal Revenue Code, including failure to timely file tax returns and failure to timely file and/or pay excise tax.

AUTOMATED REMINDERS FOR FILING TAX RETURNS AND OPERATIONAL REPORTS

Stay current with filing frequencies and operational reports, excise tax, and export due dates by subscribing to receive automated reminders telling you it is time to file. Once signed up, we will send you an email reminder a week in advance (3 days before for semi-monthly filers) of several required operational reports and federal excise tax returns due dates. We recommend you subscribe to as many reminders as you will need to meet your business needs.

TTB CAREER OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for candidates to fill one program analyst position in the Office of Permitting and Taxation.  Among other things, the incumbent will conduct studies to analyze the effectiveness of our permitting and taxation operations, as well as perform long-range forecasting using industry statistical data to inform future operations.
