TTB offers the Chemist Certification Program as a service to the alcohol beverage industry to help them export beverage alcohol to foreign markets.
As a condition of importation, some countries require performance of certain chemical analyses on wine, beer, and distilled spirits entering their marketplaces.

The 2025 spring cycle of the TTB Chemist Certification Program is open March 1 through April 1. Program candidates can submit an application online through myTTB under Chemist Certification. Visit our myTTB Chemist Certification User Guide for more details and instructions.
Who Should Apply?
Under this free program, TTB certifies chemists in private industry to test alcohol beverage products to facilitate export trade. The specific tests are listed in TTB Procedure 2018-2.
